Bob Dylan came out with this cd in 1979. To this day i think it's still has one of the greatest overall messages by any christian artist. (its funny that some people dont even know bobby got saved)

There are so many misconceptions today...because people dont REALLY read their bibles. listening to christian radio makes me cry and scream and punch my sterio. if it wasnt for religious people, the people of God would know Jesus and the power of walking in Him...just like the people in the bible. so here's a big thanks to the religious leaders like Constantine who conformed christianity with pagan religions, (christmas, easter, bowing our heads and closing our eyes when we pray, acolyte...thos were all brought in with the fuse of greek pagan religions. none of that is in the bible . just fyi) Martin Luther and John Calvan. thanks thanks thanks for screwing up the truth.

how do you undo hundreds of years of bad teaching that KEEPS BEING TAUGHT?

Ephesains 2: 1-10 is one of the most mis-read passage in the bible. read it through, and i'll explain.

Ephesians 2

Made Alive in Christ

    ¹As for you, you were dead in your transgressions and sins, ²in which you used to live when you followed the ways of this world and of the ruler of the kingdom of the air, the spirit who is now at work in those who are disobedient. ³All of us also lived among them at one time, gratifying the cravings of our sinful nature^[a] and following its desires and thoughts. Like the rest, we were by nature objects of wrath. ⁴But because of his great love for us, God, who is rich in mercy, ⁵made us alive with Christ even when we were dead in transgressions—it is by grace you have been saved. ⁶And God raised us up with Christ and seated us with him in the heavenly realms in Christ Jesus, ⁷in order that in the coming ages he might show the incomparable riches of his grace, expressed in his kindness to us in Christ Jesus. ⁸For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God— ⁹not by works, so that no one can boast. ¹⁰For we are God's workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.

everyone and their mom stops at the end of verse 9. go back and read 8-9 again. that is often interpreted "we're saved by grace so we dont have to do anything after that...just say the prayer and by grace we're saved and will go to heavan" so THEN, if someone starts preaching "live your lives holy and pleasing to god, love the lord your god with all you have, preach the good news, pray day and night unceasingly without tire, follow the straight and narrow path, do what is right in the eyes of everyone" (all of that is in the bible btw) the typical religious evangelical will throw a fit saying "works, works, works! man is not saved by works! we're saved by grace, saved by grace!" (in his holy voice with extra vibrato).  now, that makes sense to some people. BUT THATS BECAUSE THEY DIDNT REALLY READ THE PASSAGE WITH UNDERSTANDING OR IN CONTEXT.

read it again. verses 1-8 describe our salvation because of the grace of god and his love for us. true, no one can be saved by works. .....the part people miss is the fact that the WHOLE REASON WE ARE SAVED IS TO DO WORKS!.  it is because we have been saved by grace that we are now new creatures in christ, created to DO GOOD WORKS that he has prepared for us! (2:10) so the fact that religius people get upset when other people preach "do good works" is compltely irrelevant! we dont preach "do good works" to get saved...thats not what we're saying at all.  we say "do good works" because we are saved and that's what we're supposed to do!

so. to all the lazy ignorant religious people (especially those in the ministry): shut up and get to work! 'saved by grace' is just your lame excuse to get out of actually DOING something. lame.
